Welcome!

We’re glad you’re here. Whether you’ve been searching for a church for years or just wandered in, you are welcome. Our greeters and staff are here to answer any questions and help you feel at home.

WORSHIP: WHAT TO EXPECT

In our worship we aim to be biblical, accessible and thoughtful: biblical in the content and pattern of liturgy; accessible to all who attend; and thoughtful with respect to style and feel. We sing songs chosen to edify and form us, rich, intentional music that draws us into worship, deepens our prayers, and gives us words when we have none.

Our worship is shaped by an ancient pattern: we hear from God through Scripture and preaching, and we respond in faith with prayers, hymns, confession, and communion.

The service typically lasts about 75 minutes and we celebrate the sacrament of the Lord’s Supper every week.

You don’t need to know the liturgy. You don’t need to know the music. You don’t need to have the right answers or the right background or the right anything.

What you’ll find at RMC is a congregation of people who are serious about faith and genuine with each other; people who have come from everywhere and chosen Birmingham. We show up every Sunday because this is how faith is practiced, sustained, and deepened together. This is how we are formed and sent back into the world.

CHILdcare

Children are welcome to join their parents for the duration of the worship service. We love to hear children worshipping along with us. We also offer these options for children and families: Our nursery is open all morning for infants and toddlers. We have a children’s class during the sermon for kids 3K-1st grade. A nursing room for mothers is available where we livestream the service.

During the Lord’s Supper, parents are welcome to pick up their children from the nursery so that they are able to participate in communion as a family. An elder will pray over anyone not receiving communion.
