Red Mountain Church will be hosting a Magic City Crossings conversation on Wednesday, February 25 at 6:45 p.m. at The Avon.
Magic City Crossings is a metro-wide community dialogue project. This project is based upon Tanner Colby’s award winning book, Some of My Best Friends Are Black. Community discussion groups will be coordinated with local faith organizations and civic groups. Discussions will be led by trained diversity facilitators and will be designed to intentionally connect people who may not ordinarily discuss race and issues with significant racial implication. This project is being led by REV Birmingham’s Community Affairs Committee, The Bethesda Life Center with support from the office of Joyce Vance, the U.S. Attorney Northern District Alabama. To RSVP and for more information, contact Charlotte Donlon at firstname.lastname@example.org or 205-542-3770.
Please read the book if you are able (although it's not a requirement) and come prepared to share your perspectives, problem solve and discuss ideas for how to move forward.
