Caring for Cheryl Wood
During this difficult time after Dewayne's death, many people have been eager to provide
help for Cheryl and her family. If you would like to provide a meal or other assistance, please contact Michael Stewart or Kristen Stewart.
In addition, RMC will be helping with the significant expenses
associated with the funeral and burial, as well as providing for
some of Cheryl's material needs over the coming weeks and
months. If you would like to contribute to RMC's Mercy and
Benevolence Fund, which we maintain for needs of this sort,
you may do so online by using the Online Giving link above, by going to https://www.merchantamerica.com/redmountainchurch/echopay, or contact
Sarah Allen.
NOTE: You can download an MP3 of the funeral service on June 13, 2008 for Dewayne.

Also, you can download and read Dewayne's unedited essay on grief that he wrote recently for Daymark Counseling's monthly newsletter.

RMC's Missions & Benevolences Committee
We are planning for 2008. Do you have an interest in how RMC supports other works, ministries or missionaries? This effort takes very little time - we only meet a couple of times a year. We get many requests for giving, and we try to find ministries and missionaries who are similar to RMC in our belief that the Gospel changes everything. We also try to keep the list of supported efforts relatively short - so that we "can care for these works well" with finances and prayer, as opposed to just caring for as many as possible.
If anyone is interested in helping RMC plan how to better support other ministries & missions with our resources, email Brian Barrett or Bruce Denson.
Southtown Volunteers Needed
Wednesday from 5:30 to 6:30 to spend time with middle elementary aged boys at Southtown. 1 year commitment needed. Also occasional events such as UAB football games or Baron baseball
games. For more info contact Chris Morrow OR Doug Clapp.

Nursery & Children's Church News
RMC Children's Commitee needs to expand!
The children's committee supports Emily, helps her make decisions, and volunteers to help her accomplish tasks. If you think you have time to give and are interested, please email Emily. Thanks!
What's going on in the RMC nursery?
Children are important at Red Mountain Church and we strive to serve them well in our nursery. We provide childcare for immunized children from ages eight weeks to four years old. We ask that you don't bring your child to the nursery if he or she has been ill in the past 24 hours. Parents may check children in at the door of their nursery rooms. We currently have four nursery rooms: under 12 months, one year olds, two year olds, and three and four year olds.
Community Groups are asked to provide four volunteers in the nursery each week. Volunteers should arrive fifteen minutes before the service begins and ask a nursery caregiver where they are needed most. Please check the schedule below to see when your group is scheduled to volunteer.
If you have any questions about the nursery or Godly Play, please contact Emily, our children's ministry coordinator.
